Natalia first met Spike after he had gone on an “assignment” from the Syndicate where he was injured. She found him collapsed in the street, bleeding to death. She and Grandmother Delgado saved his life and nursed him back to health. When Spike finally awoke, he first thought Natalia was Julia because of their strong resemblance. Asking where he was, Natalia explained that he was at the Delgado Auto Shop. Spike asked who she was and she explained that her name was Natalia Delgado and that she ran the auto shop with her grandmother.
Approximately three years later, she lost her grandmother in a gun fight protecting the auto shop. After she was left alone and had little money left to support herself, she closed down the shop and used what little money she had left (
